I'm off to Inverness on Monday so am making the most of this week's glorious weather. The pool is freezing now our evenings have cooled down, i.e. it's the same temperature as the sea in Southern England on the hottest day of the year, but I am enjoying a chilly swim every day in the probably misguided belief that cold water immersion is good for my health. I'm feeling very lucky to live where I do, despite events in my last post.
Its cooled down here now....really chilly at night ! But " enjoy" is still the command for each day. Take care, and "enjoy". Jxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI'd gladly join you in the 'chilly' pool and the late summer temperatures. It's crisp but clear here in Shrewsbury. First frost of the year a couple of nights ago!
ReplyDeleteAfter a fabulous Indian summer, autumn is now blowing over the flatlands just in time for my birthday tomorrow. I've told Liam to find me a pub with a log fire and park me next to it! :-(
ReplyDeleteComing to the end of the rainy season here, so in a month or so the ducks will be evicted from the swimming pool as I'll be cooling off there.
ReplyDeleteThis really has been the loveliest October for weather that I can remember for a long time. And it seems set to last a while yet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy for us too, I love this time of the year at your part of the world. We have been lucky weather wise at SE England; can't swim in the pool but lovely crisp days with sun, glorious colors on the trees, enjoying it while it's here. Have a lovely trip to Inverness; a dear friend used to live in Newtonmore, loved visiting Inverness when I was studying in Scotland, iyi yolculuklar, Ozlem x
ReplyDelete. . next stop Saint Petersburg and the Polar Bear Club?
ReplyDeleteInverness? That should be right chilly. But you seem to enjoy your days wherever you are. Iyi yolculuklar.
