Urban crochet

A few posts ago, I mentioned that I'd taken up knitting.  I now want to take up crochet.

  1. Hello,

This, we agree, extraordinary. Who would have thought that anyone would wish to crochet door panels and, even more strangely, padlock covers? Well, it is a mad, mad world!

It is somewhat strange that anyone would wish to crochet door panels, even more so padlock covers. Mad, mad world!

  5. My mother used to knit. How embarrassed was I wrapped in those heavy wool cardies with three buttons at the neck :-)

  6. B to B, Whoever crocheted those locks looks to be someone with a condition akin to crochet-mylitis. But the results are beautiful.

  7. when something makes one smile it has to be a good thing - if eccentrics took over the world would be a far healthier, better, peaceful place.

  8. I think that comment just disappeared into the ether! Anyway, just wanted to say that when something makes us smile it has to be a good thing and that if eccentrics were to inherit the earth it would be a more joyful, happy, peaceful place. (try again)

  9. Makes you wonder whether everything behind the doors is covered with crocheting - kettle, toaster, TV, plant pots.... the mind boggles!

  10. I've heard of wild knitting, with scarves round lamp-posts and the like, but never wild crochet. :-) Lovely work, and I wish I could crochet, but have never learned the knack.

  13. Thanks to everyone for your comments. For some reason, I am unable to post a reply under each one as I usually do. Hope Blogger sorts itself out soon.

  14. Ayak has just blogged that she's having trouble leaving comments with Blogger, so you're not alone. I can't find any report of current problems in Blogger Help, but I do know that for the embedded comment format like you have, cookies do need to be enabled, if that helps.
