Red October

An October sunset is a good reason to eat out early. Find your West facing table at 18:30 and you have half an hour to watch the splendid light show.  These pictures were taken from the Mandalya Restaurant in Güvercinlik. With the clocks not going back in Turkey until Sunday 8th November, it will feel as if we have two weeks of more evening time to enjoy the reds and golds.

  3. Gorgeous. We've been getting glorious sunsets too and I hear the Northern Lights can be seen from Manchester, of all places. There's definitely something in the air!

  4. Thanks, Annie, particularly since the sun rises in our house so we almost never catch the set. Maybe your beautiful photos will inspire us to stir our shanks and catch up with it some evening. October's great.
