Sisterhood in Yalıkavak

We Brits may have a reputation for being strait-laced, uptight and rather reserved but invite us to Happy Hour in a bar, give us a pair of maracas, bongos or a jar of pebbles and stand back and watch us keep the beat with the rest of the world.

Karen Wilson sent out the call to be at The Cafe Minör in Yalıkavak, I have no idea what we were doing but it was great fun and will search out my school recorder for the next one.

    1. That is Karen from the good ol' USofA . She got the whole gig rolling on Thanksgiving Thursday, a few days before she goes into hospital to have a second new hip - wait till you see her without the crutch.

  3. Thanks for your kind words Annie. We were there to celebrate sisterhood on the Bodrum Peninsula and I believe we did indeed do that in style. Held on International Day to Protest Violence Against Women, the intent was to come together to support our Bodrum "tribe" of sisters in whatever way our combined healing energies might be needed.I really felt the love that day and hope all other attendees did as well!
