Halloween inspiration.

If you are sitting in front of a pumpkin, knife in hand, wondering whether it's easier to cut round eyes or square eyes, here are a few examples of pumpkin sculpture from Bodrum that might encourage you to raise your game.

  1. B to B, Is that first one what I think it is? (I don't trust myself with a sharp knife after the first martini.) Happy Halloween.

  3. Ha, ha! Fortunately, I can't get my hands on the big pumpkins here. There are plenty but the farmers like to exhibit them in vegetable competitions.....don't think they'd appreciate my attempts to make something so amazing with a sharp knife.
Never mind - I love seeing what others have done. Axxx

  4. Leo once had the champion pumpkin in his French village show...he was mortified when it was cut to make a lantern!

  5. . . they really are rather amazing! Do the same artists do ice sculpture in the cold season?

  6. How I missed this post! So bad at carving, though we did have a go thanks to my keen son, I should show these to him for future inspirations!
